PermitWire combines public records from the City of San José, Santa Clara County, and California state agencies. Each source below identifies its publisher, PermitWire usage status, and applicable license or terms. PermitWire is independent and is not endorsed by these agencies.

How PermitWire uses the source fields
PermitWire displays city-published permit identifiers, descriptions, address and ZIP fields, named contractor information when present, reported valuation, permit subtype, dwelling-unit and square-footage fields, inspection-feed presence, and issue or observed dates. Planning-party and owner fields are kept out of the public opportunity view. California SOS registered-agent, principal, address and UCC fields are also excluded from public pages. A UCC filing is a financing record—not a property lien, credit score or finding of wrongdoing. Entitled permit dossiers may show a CSLB identity link only when the exact city contractor name identifies one current state record; ambiguous names are not shown and customers are sent to the official lookup to confirm current standing. PermitWire adds trade classifications and readable titles as product aids; these are not government-provided verifications.
